Distance: 7.77 mi.
Elevation Gain: 4561 ft.
We reached the trailhead at 10 AM and got started with our snowshoes on our packs. We finally hit consistent snow around 3,500 feet. We put snowshoes on around 4,500 feet and entered a recent burn area at about 5,200 feet.
We began traversing the ridge at about 5,700 feet and reached the summit at about 1:30 PM. We were surprised to have crisp views on this cloudy day, and the summit made for a primo lunch spot.
We had a quick way down, cutting off a few of the switchbacks while the snow was still thick, and were back to the car by 4:30 PM.
