Distance: 8.28 mi.
Elevation gain: 3943 ft.
We reached the trailhead at 11:30 AM. The trail was almost completely snow-free, so we could have gotten away with trail runners. The huckleberry bushes were a very bright red! We reached the summit at about 2:30 PM. The fire lookout at the top had a cozy ledge for checking out Mount Rainier while eating lunch. We were back out by 4 PM.
