We saw that our friends Jim and Melissa climbed Thorp Mountain the day before and it looked fun, so we decided to be copy-cats! The road was a bit icy but we were able to park the Honda Fit at the trailhead (there was pushing involved). We started on trail at 11 AM. The fall colors were brilliant. Thanks to our friends the day before, there was a good boot path to follow in the 6-12 inch deep snow. It was a clear day with many, many awesome views for not a ton of work. We reached the summit around 2:30 PM, had lunch (and made a dog friend), and were back out by 4 PM! Great trip idea for Fall.
